Thankful Thursday – Post 17

Sometimes we complicate life more than we would need to. I’m leaning more and more towards a simplistic lifestyle. This goes hand-in-hand with being thankful. By simplifying I appreciate what I have more … which in turn makes me more thankful … which makes me need less stuff … which makes me more thankful … it’s a fulfilling cycle.

Ocean City, NJ

I am thankful …

For real life friends.
For time spent with four other couples at the beach …
celebrating 25 years of marriage for each of us.
.
For online friends.
That I can connect with others around the country
and even around the world through social media.
(no I don’t think it’s ruining the world)

For blogs to read … love the friendships and the education I gain.
There’s too many to list, but some of my favorites are
CourtneyRachel, Randy, Seth, Mandy.
(I will post a few each Thursday)

To realize that I am not alone when I’m scared of Christians sometimes.
Christians Scare Me (and yes I realize that I am one)

.
For my sons.
Had some good conversations and fun moments with them recently.
.
For bodies that heal!
This week I ran my fastest 3 miles since I’ve been hurt.
And I stretched farther and longer in yoga this week than last week.

.

Pause, breathe, be aware … now what are you thankful for?

Thank you for including me, Janet!
It really does feel so good to be understood, to be “gotten.” Thank you.
